Breaking The Cowboy’s Club

This body of work is a visual and narrative exploration of what it means to be a woman rewriting tradition in one of America’s most male-dominated professions: cattle ranching. It centers on the story of Amanda Fox, a 25-year-old rancher in Sweet Home, Oregon. In an industry where fewer than 10% of operations are led by women, Amanda is defying the odds performing the grueling labor of calving season while navigating her own high-risk pregnancy, including a fractured tailbone. This series challenges the stereotype that only men can be cowboys.
