Breaking the Cowboy’s Club is a visual and narrative exploration about what it takes to be a woman in an industry where fewer than 10% of operations are led by women. Through the story of Amanda Fox, a 25-year-old cattle rancher in Sweet Home, Oregon. Despite facing pregnancy complications, including a fractured tailbone, Amanda continued the demanding work of calving season. These images challenge the stereotype that only men can be cowboys. With them, I reveal the strength and resilience of women like Amanda, who labor with both grit and grace in roles long reserved for men.
